Wakakirri
Wakakirri is an opportunity for Primary school students to perform on a real stage in front of a live audience. Students at Spring Mountain State School will be performing at the Logan Entertainment Centre on 29th July. Schools need to tell a story through music, dance and movement in 5 - 7 minutes. Students who have this fabulous opportunity NEVER forget it.
Throughout semester one all students will be learning a variety of dance moves that they can choose from to include in our story, details of this are still being finalised. All students will be included in the performance as this will be part of their assessment task for The Arts in semester one.
We will need assistance with creating costumes and props, so if you would like to volunteer to help please email me at iwill16@eq.edu.au. Mrs Williams will be organising a quick meeting in the next few weeks so we can get creative and have plenty of time to make our students SHINE!
This is a fabulous opportunity to showcase the TALENTS of the students of Spring Mountain State School. We look forward to keeping you informed of our progress.
At our week 9 assembly students will perform their first dance, "Brave", and songs for our community. I know the children are all very keen to show you what they have been learning. This is a great opportunity for them to develop their public performing skills before perfroming on the big stage in July. We hope to see you there.
Many thanks for your support
