Throughout the year, students in Years 4-6, who are turning 10, 11 or 12 this year have the opportunity to trial for representative honours at a District level. Emails were sent out to these family last week.
As these are representative teams, nominated students must demonstrate a very high level of skill development in order to be considered for selection.
With Cross Country, students will run a course at Spring Mountain State School This is a great opportunity for them to obtain times in a competitive environment to prepare them for the District Carnival.
Track & Field nominations will be based on performances during our PE lessons.
If you wish your child to attend a sports trial for a team sport you need to email SMSS_PE@springmountainss.eq.edu.au two weeks prior the trial, expressing interest and your availability to get your child to the trial. If interest is high, a school trial may be needed as we can only send a limited number. All nominations must be endorsed by the school and paperwork collected in order for students to trial.
