Our Program
At Jabiru Spring Mountain our program is based around the key ideas of 'being, belonging and becoming' (MTOP, 2009). This framework is based on underpinning knowledge and theories of developmental stages of school age children, while also focusing on the importance of 'learning through play'.
We understand the importance of play and how it allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and their physical, cognitive, social and emotional strength. It is through play that children engage and interact with the world around them.
We recognise the importance of loose parts play. When children interact with loose parts, they enter a world of 'what if' that promotes problem solving and theoretical reasoning. Loose parts enhance children's ability to think imaginatively and see solutions, bringing a sense of adventure and excitement to play.
Fees and Benefits
Our fees are already very affordable, however families eligible for Child Care Subsidy pay even less, with a proportion of their fees paid by Centrelink.
