Dreaming with eyes open...
CBCA Book Week 2022 theme is about stepping into your own story, dreaming with eyes open... It provides lots of opportunity to reflect on our Indigenous culture. It also supports the ALIA National Simultaneous Storytime book, Family Tree, with both having beautiful illustrations of Australian flora and fauna. Each year at Spring Mountain State School we celebrate Book Week with a Book Week Character Parade. So...
It is time to get creative and start to organise your Book Week Character Parade Costume!
Students are encouraged to come along to school dressed as their favourite BOOK Character for our book Parade.
Where: Spring Mountain State School Hall
When: Thursday 25th of August at 9am and you’re invited to come along and view the children in their spectacular costumes.
If your child doesn’t wish to dress up they can simply bring along their favourite book to carry in the parade. Here is a link with some easy ideas for costumes.

We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing all of the students dressed up and celebrating the importance of Reading within our school.
