Dear Parents/Guardians,
In a state like Queensland, where water activities are part of our lifestyle, the safety of our children in and around the water is paramount.
As part of our Health and Physical Education Program students from Year 3 are encouraged to participate in swimming lessons during Term 4. These lessons will be held on Fridays during the school day as follows:
Week 3- Friday October 24th
Week 4- Friday October 31st
Week 5- Friday November 7th
Week 6- Friday November 14th
Week 7- Friday November 21st.
The 45 minute swimming lessons will be provided by qualified swim instructors from the new Swim Factory at the shopping centre on Dublin Avenue, Spring Mountain. Students will walk to and from the venue supervised by school staff. We hope to see the majority of our students taking the opportunity to receive these swimming lessons at a very reasonable cost of $41.00 for five lessons.
Students will need to wear their swimmers under their unform to school, take off their uniforms and school shoes at school, and walk to swimming in their swim wear, towel and thongs/slide-on shoes.
Students will then put their uniform back over their swimwear once they return to school. We do not have change rooms at school, however if a parent requires their child to change out of their swimwear they may contact class teachers to discuss.
What to Bring – all items must be NAMED!
Swim wear ( togs, boardies and rash shirts)
Swimming cap (optional)
Goggles
Towel
Swimming bag/plastic bag for wet towel
Thongs/slide-on shoes to wear to and from the pool
Cost : The cost for the four lessons is $41.00. This payment is non-refundable as all swimming lessons are paid in advance.
Invoices have been emailed to you. Please use the link provided on the Invoice to make payment. Preferred payment is via QParents or BPoint. Payments can also be made using Eftpos. All payments must be made by FRIDAY 17TH October.
