Dear 2026 Year 1 Parents and new families to SMSS... You are invited to attend a parent iPad information session being held on Tuesday 27 January at 6pm in the Hall. This is a repeat session that was held in December 2025 As you may be aware we are a BYO iPad school from Year 1-6. To support you in getting ready for this for 2026 we are running a session for parents about using iPads at Spring Mountain SS. We will discuss the expectations of the program and show how we manage student use at school. We will show you how Apple classroom works and how we can monitor student use. We will share the App Seesaw and how we use it to distribute tasks and give students feedback. We will then show examples of how students use iPads to support and enhance learning. We will discuss which iPads are suitable and an easy way to purchase. We will quickly show how to set up your child's iPad by downloading the comp portal, the profile and Apps. Please use the link below to register your attendance. Your child does not need to attend however if you can't find sitters they can come.
